Ms. Wanda Tyndall-White is a Senior Expert Advisor for Risk Solutions International, specializing in the post-incident human recovery and intervention process. Wanda’s expertise includes training programs, tools and strategies for use in the aftermath of traumatic events that can negatively impact students, faculty and staff, so long term effects are minimized and operational recovery can be expedited. These include approaches to the grief and loss process, critical incident stress management (CISM) techniques, psychological first aid, post-traumatic checklists, resource identification for continued/intensive care, mapping the correlation of trauma to behavioral changes that can impact the learning process, and self care techniques. Wanda is a mental healthcare expert who provides diverse therapeutic modalities, counseling and psycho-social services within the scope of practice of the American Psychotherapy Association and NASW. She is an experienced medical social worker, assessor, counselor and consultant to abused and neglected children, members of the military and their families, and to populations affected by natural disasters. Wanda is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), who holds her Master of Social Work (MSW) from St. Louis University and her BSW from Central Missouri State University. She is trained or certified in Non-Physician Gerontology, Child Custody Evaluation, SAP/DOT Substance Abuse, CISM, Family and Divorce Mediation, Pastoral Crisis Intervention, Compulsive Gambling, and Disaster and Aviation Response. Wanda is a licensed Medicare Provider, a Board Certified Diplomat of the American Psychotherapy Association (APA), and is a member of the American College of Certified Forensic Counselors (ACCFC), National Association of Sports Counselors (NASC), National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the Academy of Certified Social Workers (ACSW). She holds adjunct professorships at St. Louis University, Washington University, Loyola University, and Northern Illinois University.
